The colors of spring

Spring Blossom

Spring has sprung. The crabapples bloom heavily, the songbirds perching on a dogwood branch and pastel colors of apple green, yellow and variation shades of pink flowers between multi-colored tulips are a feast for my eyes. The sky is so blue, without any trace of clouds and the wind is cool amid the hot sun penetrating my skin.

This is a perfect spring.

Other than summer, fall and winter, spring is my favorite season. After the dreary long colorless winter, finally we are rewarded with beautiful bright colors seen everywhere. My senses feel alive by all the beautiful colors of flowers, even the wildflowers in lavender blooming alone on the quiet and abandoned foot path caught my attention.

As a writer, my mind is acting like radar, absorbing everything in my surroundings like a sponge. Even a glimpse of the yellow dandelions doesn’t go to waste for a hungry writer like me. Everything about spring is important.

I experience the spring season in full blast.

Then along the way I pay the price.

I got severe allergies from the pollen! With watery eyes and runny nose I can’t stop sneezing. Yet it never deters me to savor these beautiful colors of spring.

The beauty of spring will be forever archive in my writing journal and I know it would be perfect for my next setting for my fiction.
